Role summary

Overview
You will join a collaborative QA automation team located in downtown Boston and contribute to a modern suite of digital sales and service applications for the insurance industry. You’ll work across multiple areas of automation, including UI-based regression testing, load and performance testing, and API/web services automation using leading industry tools. Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and execute comprehensive software test plans to identify defects, root causes, and areas for improvement.
· Implement structured testing methodologies, frameworks, and standards while monitoring defect trends and driving effective resolution.
· Build and maintain UI automation test suites using Selenium and related technologies.
· Develop and maintain performance and load test scripts using tools such as JUnit, JMeter, and Selenium Grid.
· Create and maintain API and web service automation scripts for REST and SOAP services.
· Integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Nexus, ensuring seamless delivery cycles.
· Generate, manage, and optimize test data required for automated test execution.
· Collaborate closely with development teams, providing actionable feedback on functionality, usability, and quality risks.
· Support internal, user acceptance, and third-party testing efforts as needed.
· Build, enhance, and maintain mobile automation frameworks using Appium, Espresso, and other industry-standard tools.
· Design, implement, and execute automated tests for iOS and Android applications.
Requirements
· 3–8 years of hands-on experience with advanced automation testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
· Strong understanding of software development practices, with proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
· Experience working with IDEs such as Eclipse (preferred) or similar.
· Practical experience with Jenkins, Maven, SVN, and Nexus Repository.
· Proven experience building automation solutions with Selenium.
· 3–8 years of experience developing test plans, test cases, and test strategies.
· Solid experience working with XML, REST, and SOAP web services; SoapUI or JMeter experience preferred for service-level automation.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
· Experience in property & casualty insurance applications is a plus.
· Strong experience building mobile automation frameworks from the ground up is highly desirable
