ABOUT AR5 LABS
AR5 Labs builds AI-powered automation tools for data analytics. Our flagship product, PlotStudio AI, is a desktop analytics platform where specialized AI agents collaborate through a multi-stage pipeline to deliver the kind of analysis a senior data scientist would produce — complete with code, visualizations, statistical rigor, and executive-grade narrative. Think Cursor, but for data analytics.
We've been growing the engineering team to scale PlotStudio into the go-to platform for agentic data analysis.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring a Data Analyst to work at the intersection of product, content, and analytics.
This is not a traditional reporting role. You'll be the person who uses PlotStudio AI daily on real datasets — stress-testing the product, producing analyses that become marketing content, and building the templates and workflows that show our users what's possible.
You'll analyze real-world datasets for our YouTube series "AI Agents Did the Whole Thing," where each episode demonstrates how AI agents handle a full analytical workflow. You'll also work directly with early customers to understand their data challenges and help shape the product roadmap based on what you see.
This is a ground-floor role. You'll report directly to the founder and have a direct line to the AI/ML team. Your analyses will be seen by thousands of viewers, your feedback will shape the product, and your workflows will become the standard for how users interact with PlotStudio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze real-world datasets using PlotStudio AI across industries (finance, healthcare, marketing, e-commerce, sports, and more)
- Stress-test PlotStudio's AI agents by running complex, multi-step analyses and documenting where the agents excel and where they fall short
- Build reusable analysis templates and workflows that demonstrate best practices for PlotStudio users
- Work with early customers to understand their data challenges, run analyses on their behalf during demos, and translate their feedback into product requirements
- Define and track product analytics — user engagement, feature adoption, conversion funnels, and retention metrics
- Collaborate with the AI/ML team to improve agent accuracy, analysis quality, and output formatting based on your hands-on experience
- QA analysis output — verify statistical methodology, check code correctness, and ensure narrative accuracy before anything goes public
- Identify high-signal datasets on Kaggle, government sources, and public repositories that make for compelling analysis content
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role
- Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn) and SQL
- Solid understanding of statistics — hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and when to use what
- Experience creating data visualizations that tell a clear story (Plotly, matplotlib, Tableau, or similar)
- Ability to communicate analytical findings to non-technical audiences — in writing, on camera, or in a presentation
- Comfortable working with messy, real-world datasets — missing values, type issues, outliers, and ambiguity
- Strong attention to detail — you catch when a model's assumptions are violated or when a chart is misleading
- Self-directed and comfortable working autonomously in a small, fast-moving team
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows beyond basic classification and regression
- Experience with Electron or desktop applications
- Exposure to LLMs, AI-powered applications, or agentic AI systems
- Background in consulting, freelance analytics, or client-facing analytical work
WHY JOIN NOW
- You'll own the entire data integration layer from day one — no inherited tech debt, no legacy systems
- PlotStudio is solving a real problem for real users: teams that have data but no data team
- Small team, high autonomy, direct impact on the product
