Role summary

Sony Pictures is seeking a Product Manager to support direct-to-consumer platforms like Sony Pictures Core, Ridevu, and FAST/AVOD services. This role involves defining, prioritizing, and delivering product features, translating business needs into actionable plans, and partnering with Engineering, Design, and Operations teams in an agile environment. Responsibilities include roadmap contribution, KPI tracking, and supporting new service development. The position requires 3+ years of product management experience in a technology-driven setting, with a preference for streaming, media, or SaaS backgrounds. Familiarity with data/reporting tools, cloud environments (AWS), and advertising-supported products is beneficial. This is a hybrid, onsite role in Culver City, CA, working 40 hours/week.

We are seeking a Product Manager to support a range of product initiatives across Sony Pictures’ direct-to-consumer platforms, including Sony Pictures Core, Ridevu, and emerging FAST and AVOD services.

This role will work across multiple product areas depending on business needs, including platform features, internal tools, data/reporting capabilities, and new service development. The Product Manager will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Operations teams to define requirements, prioritize work, and support execution across a variety of initiatives.

This is a flexible, high-impact role suited for someone who can operate across different product domains and adapt quickly to evolving priorities. This position will be on-site with our client, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and will report directly to the client regarding the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the definition, prioritization, and delivery of product features and platform capabilities across multiple initiatives

• Gather and translate business requirements into clear product requirements and user stories

• Partner with engineering teams to plan and execute development work, including sprint planning and backlog management

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Technology, Design, Content Operations, and other stakeholders

• Contribute to roadmap development and ensure alignment with business goals and priorities

• Assist in the development and improvement of internal tools, platform features, and reporting capabilities

• Monitor product performance and support KPI tracking and reporting efforts

• Help identify opportunities to improve workflows, user experience, and operational efficiency

• Support testing, validation, and release readiness for new features and enhancements

• Participate in cross-team coordination to ensure successful delivery across multiple workstreams

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related role

• Experience working in a technology-driven environment (streaming, media, SaaS, or platform-based products preferred)

• Strong ability to gather requirements and translate them into actionable development plans

• Experience working with engineering teams in an agile development environment

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Experience working with data/reporting tools or analytics platforms

• Familiarity with streaming platforms, digital media, or content distribution

• Exposure to AVOD, FAST channels, or advertising-supported products

• Experience working with internal tools or platform feature development

• Familiarity with cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS)

Preferred Attributes:

• Background in streaming, content, or digital media platforms.

• Familiarity with AWS data services (Redshift, RDS, etc.) or equivalent cloud-native data ecosystems.

• Understanding of ad tech, FAST channels, or digital distribution data flows.

• Experience leading cross-functional data/reporting initiatives.

Job Work Set up:

·       Onsite (Office Location: Culver City, CA) - Mondays to Thursdays / Remote - Fridays

·       40 work hours/week

·       Full-Time Position with Benefits - Includes Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage through HMO.

·       Note: This position does not include Paid Time Off (PTO) or 401(k) benefits.
