Program Manager, Landfill
Role summary
Arcwood is seeking a Program Manager for its Landfill service offering, focusing on both hazardous and non-hazardous sites. This role is responsible for the overall program design, including pricing, SOPs, acceptance criteria, and value propositions, ensuring the product line is competitive and compliant. The Program Manager will partner closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Compliance teams to provide commercial enablement, training, and technical support. Key responsibilities include tracking program performance, recommending improvements, and building industry relationships. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in landfill operations or environmental program management are required.

Program Manager, Landfill
owns Arcwood’s landfill service offering across hazardous and non-hazardous sites, including pricing input, SOPs, acceptance criteria, value propositions, and training.
This role ensures Arcwood’s landfill product line is competitive, compliant, and easy for sales teams to position. The Program Manager partners closely with Regional Sales, Application Specialists, Operations, Engineering, and Compliance.
Offer Ownership & Program Design
- Owns landfill program/offer, including accepted waste types, service scope, and value propositions
- Maintains landfill acceptance criteria, profiling templates, and approval workflows
- Develops SOPs for landfill-related service delivery and ensures consistency across sites
Commercial Enablement & Sales Support
- Provides offer and proposal templates, value proposition input, and technical content for Sales teams
- Supports Regional Sales and Application Specialists during complex proposals and strategic customer discussions
- Provides input on pricing structures, discount logic, and special project considerations
Training & Technical Support
- Provides SOPs and program training to Sales teams and Operations
- Acts as Arcwood’s segment expert on landfill regulations, waste codes, and emerging issues (e.g., PFAS)
Program Performance & Improvement
- Tracks program-level performance such as profitability, route/event productivity, customer retention, and service quality
- Recommends enhancements to landfill capabilities, acceptance rules, or service design based on market needs
- Builds relationships with consultants and industry experts to advance Arcwood’s landfill positioning
Education
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, geology or related field (required)
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in landfill operations, hazardous waste disposal or environmental program management (required)
- Strong knowledge of and experience with landfill regulations and special waste approval processes (required)
- Existing relationships with environmental consultants (preferred)
