Key responsibilities include designing/building AWS data platforms, architecting ETL/ELT pipelines, optimizing systems, establishing best practices, implementing quality/monitoring frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Must have strong AWS data services knowledge, proficiency in Python/Scala/Java, ETL/ELT pipeline development, data modeling, distributed systems, CI/CD, IaC, and experience with large-scale production data platforms.

We are seeking a Principal Data Engineer with deep expertise in AWS and large-scale data platforms to lead the design and delivery of cloud-native data solutions. You will drive architecture, scalability, and innovation across enterprise data platforms, building high-performance batch and streaming pipelines while mentoring engineering teams.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
✔️ Design and build cloud-native data platforms on AWS
✔️ Architect end-to-end data pipelines (ETL/ELT – batch & streaming)
✔️ Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
✔️ Establish data engineering standards and best practices
✔️ Implement data quality, monitoring, and observability frameworks
✔️ Collaborate with analytics, BI, and product teams
✔️ Lead technical strategy and mentor engineering teams
✔️ Contribute to enterprise data architecture decisions
✅ Must-Have Skills
- AWS Data Services (S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, Kinesis/MSK)
- Strong programming: Python / Scala / Java
- ETL/ELT pipeline development & orchestration (Airflow or AWS tools)
- Data modeling & distributed systems expertise
- CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation)
- Experience building large-scale production data platforms

- Real-time streaming architecture experience
- Data governance, security & compliance knowledge
- Experience supporting BI / Analytics / ML platforms
