Role summary

Argenta is seeking a SAP Master Data Analyst for their Shawnee, KS location. This role is responsible for the creation, maintenance, validation, and governance of manufacturing and supply chain master data within SAP to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with GxP and data governance standards. The analyst will support various teams including production planning, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and logistics, troubleshoot data issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required, along with 1-5 years of SAP master data management experience in a manufacturing setting.

Argenta is currently looking to fill the role of SAP Master Data Analyst at our Shawnee, KS location.

The SAP Master Data Analyst is responsible for the creation, maintenance, validation, and governance of manufacturing and supply chain master data within SAP to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This role ensures master data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with GxP, data governance, and internal quality standards, enabling reliable production planning, inventory management, procurement, and distribution processes.

Key Responsibilities

Master Data Management

  • Create, maintain, and update SAP master data objects including:
  • Materials (RM, PM, WIP, FG)
  • Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Routings / Recipes
  • Work centers
  • Production versions
  • Vendors and source lists (as applicable)
  • Ensure master data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across manufacturing and supply chain processes.
  • Perform mass data loads and changes using SAP tools (e.g., LSMW, MDG, or equivalent).

Manufacturing & Supply Chain Support

  • Support production planning, manufacturing execution, procurement, quality, and logistics teams through timely and accurate master data setup.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP master data structures.
  • Troubleshoot master data issues impacting MRP, production orders, batch management, inventory, or financial postings.

Data Governance & Compliance

  • Adhere to data governance standards, SOPs, and validation requirements in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, ALCOA+, data integrity, and internal audit requirements.
  • Participate in periodic data reviews, audits, and remediation activities.
  • Maintain documentation for master data changes and approvals.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve master data processes, controls, and efficiencies.
  • Support SAP enhancements, system upgrades, and new master data domains as required.
  • Contribute to standardization initiatives across plants, sites, or regions.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Experience

  • 1–5 years’ experience in SAP master data management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing and supply chain master data processes.
  • Experience in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, or similar) preferred.

SAP Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP (ECC and/or S/4HANA).
  • Familiarity with SAP modules such as PP, MM, QM, and related master data objects.
  • Experience with change management, transports, and validation controls is an advantage.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
