System Test Engineer
Role summary
Arrowpoint Engineering is seeking a motivated Test/Systems Engineer to support government advisory teams. This role involves critical evaluations of technical data at component, subsystem, and system levels, focusing on test strategy and execution for defense munition systems. The engineer will identify gaps between requirements and reality, analyze test data, and provide unbiased findings and technical advisement to government customers. Key responsibilities include reviewing system architectures, designs, and technical performance metrics, as well as understanding requirement decomposition and traceability. Experience with munitions systems, formal test events, and technical documentation review is essential. A Secret Security Clearance is required.

The Opportunity
Arrowpoint Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Test/Systems Engineer to join our government support and advisory team. In this role, you will provide independent critical evaluations of technical data at component, subsystem, and system levels as well as during test strategy and test execution. You’ll identify gaps between requirements and reality and deliver unbiased findings that inform our government customers. This role requires someone who brings a critical yet outcome driven mindset.
Your Mission
- Review and evaluate system architectures and designs against requirements, identifying gaps and technical risks
- Review test strategies and witness their execution for defense munition systems across developmental and operational test phases
- Analyze test data and reports, producing clear unbiased findings to government customers
- Review analyses and reports of technical performance metrics
- Understand requirement decomposition and traceability across system hierarchies
- Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and working groups
- Provide written and verbal technical advisement to government customers
Knowledge & Experience to Win Us Over
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar degree
- Secret Security Clearance
- Experience with munitions system or munitions component development
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience designing and executing system-level tests across development or operational phases of munition system or munition components
- Experience supporting or reviewing formal test events
- Experience reading and critiquing system specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), test plans, and other technical project deliverables
- Basic understanding of electromagnetic and RF design theory, techniques, and concepts
- Experience with munition safety and handling
- Experience in telecom, aerospace, or defense industries
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure
- Motivated by meaningful impact and real-world outcomes
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
