Senior Software Engineer

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer for a full-time, on-site position located in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software systems that align with both business requirements and technical specifications. The Senior Software Engineer will work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex issues, write efficient and scalable code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to project planning and execution. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers and staying updated on trends and best practices in software development to drive innovation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in software design, development, and architecture with experience in programming languages such as GOLang.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, and version control systems like Git.
• Experience with troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing code for performance and scalability.
• Knowledge of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with developing APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
