Role summary

Seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in testing electromechanical, hydronic, and embedded systems, including valves, actuators, control systems, and sensors. The role involves developing and executing test plans, performing root cause analysis, and utilizing various lab equipment. Requires a Bachelor's in a related engineering field, strong troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in MS Office. Must be comfortable working with electrical/hydraulic systems and performing physical tasks.

Responsibilities

Test valves, actuators, control systems, and sensors
Develop and execute test plans for new products
Analyze requirements and choose appropriate test methods
Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
Estimate testing time, effort, and costs
Improve testing efficiency and provide data-driven insights
Coordinate external testing when needed
Collaborate with engineering, product, and quality teams
Maintain and calibrate lab equipment
Support and guide lab technicians
Assist with other lab tasks as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field
5–10 years experience with testing, test plans, and fixtures (electromechanical/hydronic/embedded)
Hands-on with lab equipment (env. chambers, 3D tools, dynamometers, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis skills
Detail-oriented, adaptable, able to multitask independently
Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
Proficient in MS Office and general computer tools
Able to work safely with electrical/hydraulic systems
Comfortable using tools and lifting up to 50 lbs
