
Operations Data Analyst, Quality and Risk
Role summary
Ascension is seeking a remote, full-time Operations Data Analyst to join their Clinical and Population Health Analytics team. This role focuses on tracking performance metrics against national healthcare quality standards, managing project workflows in Smartsheet, and navigating payer portals for reporting. The analyst will interpret complex data sets to provide insights to leadership regarding patient care impact. A High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of applicable experience is required. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years in operations, KPI/project timeline management, and advanced spreadsheet skills with a curiosity for SQL and Python.

How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Track individual and team performance metrics to ensure our operational goals align with national healthcare quality standards.
- Manage project workflows and trackers in Smartsheet to keep complex, multi-market initiatives on schedule.
- Navigate payer portals and external platforms to retrieve and organize the vital reports needed for monthly performance reviews.
- Interpret complex data sets to help leadership understand the "story" behind the numbers and how they impact patient care.
Education
What minimum requirements you’ll need
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What Additional Preferences We're Seeking
- Operational Expertise: Minimum 3+ years in a professional office or healthcare operations environment, specifically managing KPIs or project timelines.
- Advanced Spreadsheet Literacy: Mastery of Excel or Google Sheets (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and a high "data curiosity" to learn SQL and Python.
