Role summary
Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse Nursing Manager for their Pediatric Behavioral Health unit at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, TX. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, 3 years of overall experience, and 1 year of leadership or management experience. A BLS Provider certification and a Texas RN license are also required.

How you'll make an impact in this role
Unit Operations: Oversee daily workflows, nursing resources, and care delivery for assigned units.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to internal policies, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards.
Staff Management: Direct the full talent lifecycle, from recruitment and training to staff development and evaluation.
Quality Improvement: Resolve operational roadblocks and design policies to optimize patient care services.
Financial Oversight: Manage unit budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with financial guidelines.
What minimum qualifications you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
Work Experience:
- 3 years of experience required.
- 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
