Role summary

A 20-year solar industry leader is seeking a Senior/Lead Full-Stack Engineer to transition a proprietary financial model into a professional SaaS platform. The role involves stabilizing the existing Cloudflare-hosted MVP, enhancing IP security, and integrating advanced AI and geospatial features. Key responsibilities include using Google Gemini AI for data extraction and proposal generation, integrating Google Maps Solar API for rooftop modeling, and developing a backend system to train AI with historical project data. The engineer will also oversee the creation of a high-end, data-rich dashboard. This is a hybrid remote role based in Cliffwood, NJ.

We are a 20-year solar industry leader (distributor, system integrator, and plant owner) transitioning a proprietary, CFO-vetted financial model from a rough MVP into a professional SaaS platform.

Our current MVP is hosted on Cloudflare and successfully integrates NREL’s PVWatts API and .PAN file uploads. We are seeking a Senior/Lead Full-Stack Engineer to take ownership of the codebase, stabilize the architecture, and lead the integration of advanced AI and geospatial features. This is a unique opportunity to build a "Helioscope-killer" from the ground up with a proven financial engine.

Key Responsibilities

System Stabilization: Audit and refactor our existing Cloudflare-hosted MVP to ensure scalability and eliminate "brittle" code.
IP Security: Maintain and enhance the security of our proprietary financial formulas within a backend environment.
AI Feature Development: Implement Google Gemini AI for automated utility bill data extraction (OCR) and narrative-driven investor proposal generation.
Geospatial Integration: Integrate the Google Maps Solar API to provide 3D rooftop modeling and shading analysis.
Machine Learning Pipeline: Develop a backend system to "train" or ground our AI using a historical library of Helioscope project data.
UI/UX Oversight: Work to create a high-end, data-rich dashboard that provides professional-grade visualizations for investors and subcontractors.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Cliffwood, NJ 07721
