Job Summary:

The Senior Backend Engineer will focus on building and scaling a cloud-native SaaS solution on Azure. The team specializes in connecting AI bots to high-performance SIP (telephony) applications. You will be responsible for developing large-scale microservices using Node.js (NestJS) within a modern DevOps environment. The focus is on high performance, production-grade reliability, and deep integration with Kubernetes. We work in a modern cloud-native environment, leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Azure to build and operate production-grade systems.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain backend microservices in Node.js (NestJS).

Work with DevOps and cloud infrastructure to ensure smooth delivery and operations.

Production Kubernetes experience (deploying, debugging, scaling).

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.

Troubleshoot and optimize system performance across services and environments.

Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of services.

Strong motivation to learn and work with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Qualifications:

3+ years of backend development experience in Node.js (Nest.js preferred).

Familiarity with Git and Linux environments.

Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes tooling (manifests, pods lifecycle, kubectl).

Cloud experience (Azure preferred).

Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice To Have:

Hands-on work with Terraform and cloud infrastructure to ensure smooth delivery and operations.

Knowledge of Helm charts.

Database experience (SQL and MongoDB).

Experience with networking concepts (routing, NAT, TLS, proxies, DNS).
