Staff NPI Test Engineer
Role summary
Aurora is seeking a Staff NPI Test Engineer to support manufacturing test and automation for their hardware. This role focuses on ensuring the safe and efficient production of Aurora's self-driving technology. The engineer will debug software tools, optimize automated test procedures, manage and analyze production test data to drive improvements, and provide technical support. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, reading design drawings, and utilizing programming skills in Python within a Linux environment. The position requires a strong engineering background with both software and hardware expertise, a product-focused mindset, and excellent analytical and communication skills. This is a hybrid role based in Aurora's office, requiring at least 3 days per week in-office.

The primary objective of this role is to support manufacturing from a test and automation perspective in the production of the Aurora’s HW and delivering the benefits of self-driving technology safely, quickly, and broadly. A successful candidate is data-driven, excels at complex problem solving, has a strong engineering background with software and hardware skills, product focused mindset, and can lead cross-functional efforts.

The base salary range for this position is $181,000 - $262,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
