Sign up to see compensation estimateAvery Products is lookin for a Data Analyst to support Avery's Data Warehouse (DWH) and reporting environment by ensuring the integrity, availability, and accuracy of business data used across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Operations, and IT. This role focuses on troubleshooting data and reporting issues, supporting report development, and ensuring seamless collaboration between IT and business users. The analyst will play a key role in maintaining data integrity and delivering actionable insights that drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.

What you will be doing:
- Provide day-to-day operational and analytical support for the enterprise Data Warehouse (DWH) environment.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to design, build, and validate standard and ad hoc reports using Hyperion and other reporting tools.
- Perform data imports, validation, reconciliation, and analysis to ensure consistency between DWH, ERP, and other source systems.
- Support ETL and data load processes by identifying data anomalies, verifying load success, and working with developers to resolve issues.
- Document data definitions, report specifications, and source mappings for transparency and governance.
- Assist in developing automation and efficiency improvements for recurring reports and data extracts.
- Partner with business units to understand reporting needs, translate requirements into data models or dashboards, and ensure solutions align with corporate standards.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies reported by business teams and coordinate root cause analysis with the DWH support team.
- Maintain data confidentiality and adhere to Avery's data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Support internal IT initiatives such as system upgrades, data migrations, and new analytics tool implementations.
What you need to succeed:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data warehouse support (manufacturing or ERP environment preferred).
- Hands-on experience with SQL, data validation, and report development tools (Oracle APEX, Oracle Hyperion, Crystal Reports, Power BI or equivalent).
- Familiarity with ETL workflows, data warehouse concepts (star schema, dimensions/facts), and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle).
- Understanding of ERP data structures and Oracle Hyperion reporting (a plus).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SQL querying, joins, and troubleshooting.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data connections).
- Experience with Oracle APEX, or similar reporting and visualization tools.
- Knowledge of data reconciliation and master data management principles.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (preferred).
- Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot for data analysis) is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with business and technical teams.
- Proactive and accountable with strong ownership of deliverables.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-departmental environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment supporting multiple data sources (Glovia, Hyperion, etc.).
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and corporate reporting standards.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid work arrangement (Brea HQ and remote).
- Standard office hours with occasional after-hours support during data refresh cycles or system upgrades.
