Data Analyst – Manufacturing Operations
Role summary
Seeking an onsite Data Analyst for manufacturing operations in New Albany, OH. This role involves analyzing production, maintenance, quality, and financial data across multiple plants to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and specific manufacturing processes is preferred.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team onsite at our headquarters in New Albany. In this role, you will support operations across multiple manufacturing plants by analyzing production, maintenance, quality, and financial data.
You will turn complex data into actionable insights that drive efficiency, improve performance, and support decision-making at both the plant and leadership levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production reports across 6+ plants to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Monitor and evaluate maintenance data (downtime, breakdown trends, preventive maintenance effectiveness)
- Analyze mold and process data (cycle times, scrap rates, machine performance)
- Track and evaluate customer complaints and drive root cause analysis with corrective actions
- Review plant expenses and cost drivers to identify savings opportunities
- Analyze shipping and logistics data (delays, freight cost, turnaround time)
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards and reports
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve operational performance
- Work onsite and collaborate with plant managers, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 2–5+ years’ experience in data analysis (manufacturing preferred)
- Strong proficiency in:
- Excel (advanced – pivot tables, formulas, dashboards)
- Power BI / Tableau (preferred)
- SQL (strong plus)
- Experience handling large datasets from multiple sources
- Understanding of manufacturing KPIs (OEE, scrap, downtime, efficiency, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience in plastics manufacturing / injection molding / blow molding / ISBM
- Familiarity with ERP / MES systems
- Experience supporting multi-plant operations
