Embedded Software Engineer

Compensation: Up to $150K/year (Full-Time) or $90/hour (C2C)

The Role

We need an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop, integrate, and test embedded systems. You'll work through the complete software development lifecycle—from requirements and architecture through implementation and testing—while collaborating with hardware, systems, and verification teams.

What You'll Do

Design and implement embedded software in C/C++ from requirements through production. You'll handle board bring-up, OS bring-up, and device driver development, working directly with hardware interfaces and ensuring everything meets regulatory compliance standards (DO-178).

Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware engineers, systems teams, and verification specialists to deliver reliable embedded solutions. You'll also ensure our work meets customer safety and security requirements.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong embedded C/C++ development skills
  • Hands-on board bring-up and OS bring-up experience
  • Device driver development background
  • Hardware interface experience: UART, USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, RS232/RS422
  • Working knowledge of communication protocols: CAN, TCP/IP, UDP
  • Complete SDLC experience: requirements analysis, architecture/design, implementation, integration, testing
  • Familiarity with DO-178 regulatory compliance standards

Experience Needed

6–15 years in embedded software development with proven track record delivering production systems.

What You'll Bring

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail in compliance-driven environments, and excellent collaboration skills across engineering disciplines.

Buyer

The Role

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Handle supplier documentation and compliance requirements (SBA, FAR/DFAR, CMRT, REACH). Update procurement data in our ERP system (AMAPPS experience is a plus). Generate daily operational reports to support inventory management and supply chain activities. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring documentation accuracy.

What We Need

  • 2–3 years in procurement, supply chain, or buyer roles
  • Solid understanding of supplier compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Good communication and relationship management skills

Education

Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred. We'll also consider high school graduates with strong buyer experience.

What Matters Most
