About the Role
Join a high-impact engineering team working on productionizing internal AI tools used across Google. These tools have already proven value and are now being scaled into robust production systems.
You’ll operate as a Lead IC (Individual Contributor)—owning architecture, system design, and execution for GenAI-powered applications.
What You’ll Do
- Build and scale RAG-based contextual retrieval systems
- Productionize GenAI-powered internal tools into enterprise systems
- Design evaluation frameworks (precision, recall, cost optimization)
- Develop full-stack applications (70% backend / 30% frontend)
- Collaborate with Product, Security, Privacy, and Engineering teams
- Work with LLMs (Gemini/Claude) to deliver intelligent applications
Required Skills
- 3–5+ years building GenAI / LLM-based systems
- Strong experience with RAG / semantic search / context retrieval
- Expertise in LLM evaluation frameworks + SQL analysis
- Full-stack development:
- Backend: Python or Go
- Frontend: Angular / TypeScript
- Experience building chat-based or search-driven applications
Preferred
- Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
- Familiarity with agentic frameworks / AI agents
- Background in large-scale web systems (Big Tech or startups)
- Exposure to Google internal stack (Google Three)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $100.00 - $110.00 per hour
