What You Will Do:
Responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of a department or clinic area, ensuring goals align with Baton Rouge General’s strategic vision. Oversees staffing, budgeting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives to support optimal patient care and organizational performance.
- Coordinates daily departmental functions, ensuring alignment with GHS philosophy and goals
- Ensures efficient staffing and operations to meet seasonal or market-driven needs
- Leads and mentor's supervisors and team members; provides timely performance evaluations
- Oversees compliance with policies, procedures, and productivity metrics
- Directs clinic operations, including business office and staff management
- Manages recruitment, onboarding, and disciplinary processes
- Ensures accurate documentation, reconciliation of charges and deposits, and log maintenance
- Develops and monitors operating and capital budgets; prepares monthly variance reports
- Communicates effectively across all organizational levels to ensure transparency and responsiveness
- Drives continuous improvement through performance programs and staff engagement

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience
Required: 2 to 5 years of experience in physician clinic management or another healthcare related field
Preferred: prior experience with Epic
Education
Required: None
Preferred: College degree
Certifications & Licensure
Required: Current LPN or RN license
Special Skills or Knowledge
Required:
- Possesses the ability to deal tactfully with physicians, personnel, patients, family members, visitors and the general public.
- Must have knowledge of information systems design and operations.
- Must be able to do extensive walking and standing
