Test Engineering Intern

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Test Engineering Intern to support our Product team. This internship is ideal for a STEM student with an interest in biomechanics, applied engineering, and product development who wants hands-on experience working with real-world hardware, software, and data in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The Test Engineering Intern will contribute to ongoing product development efforts by assisting with testing, data collection, validation, documentation, and cross-functional projects, including integration with third-party systems. This role offers exposure to the full product lifecycle – from early testing and validation through documentation and issue resolution.

Additional Details:

• Hourly pay based on skills and experience
• Up to 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Assist the Product team with hardware and software testing, including test execution, result documentation, and basic issue investigation.
• Support data collection activities for ongoing projects, including setup, execution, and organization of test data.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on ongoing development and third-party integration projects.
• Assist with data validation and verification to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, test protocols, and reports to support engineering and product teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process gaps and suggesting improvements where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a STEM-related degree (e.g. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field).
• Interest in biomechanics, applied engineering, and/or product development.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test procedures and documentation standards.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a biomechanics or engineering lab environment (academic or research).
• Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Understanding of hardware/software interaction, sensors, or data acquisition systems.
• Prior internship, research, or project experience related to engineering or product development.
