Role summary
A Data Analyst collects, processes, and analyzes data to help organizations make informed business decisions. They transform raw data into meaningful insights by identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Key responsibilities include collecting and analyzing large datasets, cleaning and organizing data, identifying trends, creating reports and dashboards, and presenting findings to management. ### Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze large datasets from various sources
- Clean and organize raw data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business decisions
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders
- Work with teams to understand data needs and business goals
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems
- Present findings and recommendations to management
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics
### Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as:
- SQL
- Excel
- Python or R
- Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Microsoft Power BI)
- Knowledge of statistics and data modeling
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
### Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with big data tools or cloud platforms
- Knowledge of machine learning basics
- Experience with database management systems
- Prior experience in analytics or business intelligence roles

### Typical Salary (U.S.)
- Entry Level: $60,000 – $75,000 per year
- Mid-Level: $75,000 – $95,000 per year
