Senior Data Engineer

Role Overview:

We are actively seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a high-impact data team working on large-scale, data-driven platforms. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about building robust data pipelines, optimizing data workflows, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions. You will collaborate closely with both technical and business stakeholders to transform raw data into meaningful insights, while ensuring performance, reliability, and data quality across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements into scalable solutions

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reliable, and scalable data pipelines

• Build and optimize data models and table structures for analytics and reporting

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using tools like Airflow or Prefect

• Perform complex data transformations using advanced SQL and Python

• Optimize Spark jobs and distributed data processing workflows

• Implement automated data validation and quality checks

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipeline performance

• Work with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate data from multiple internal and external sources

• Conduct ad hoc data analysis to support business needs

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience in Data Engineering

• Expertise in writing complex and optimized SQL queries

• Proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline development

• Solid experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Databricks (Azure Databricks preferred)

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect

• Exposure to at least one cloud platform – AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline architecture

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• Experience with marketing/data integration tools such as Datorama, Improvado, or FiveTran

• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (Dimensional Modeling preferred)

• Experience working with streaming platforms like Kafka

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions

• Experience with containerization tools like Docker

• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog
