About the Role

We are seeking a
Senior DevOps Engineer
to help design and scale a
secure, production-grade CI/CD and GitOps platform
supporting a large-scale banking modernization initiative.

This role focuses on building
standardized and reusable delivery patterns
that integrate seamlessly with enterprise
security, IAM, networking, and compliance frameworks
.

You will design and implement automation that embeds
security, governance, and quality controls directly into the developer workflow
, enabling consistent and compliant deployments across
hybrid Kubernetes environments
, including
Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
and
Red Hat OpenShift
.

While the initial focus will be on building the delivery platform, this role will naturally evolve to support broader
DevOps and platform engineering initiatives
as the program matures.

Core Responsibilities

CI/CD & GitOps Platform

- Design and build a unified
CI/CD and GitOps platform
using
GitHub Actions
and
Flux
.
- Develop
reusable workflow templates and pipeline frameworks
that standardize build, testing, security scanning, and deployment processes.
- Implement
GitOps deployment patterns
to manage multi-environment Kubernetes deployments across cloud and on-premises environments.

Security & Compliance Automation

- Embed security capabilities into pipelines including
SAST, SCA, DAST, container scanning, SBOM generation, and image signing
.
- Implement policy guardrails using tools such as
Open Policy Agent Gatekeeper or Kyverno
to enforce governance and compliance.
- Build and maintain
compliant OCI base image pipelines
aligned with enterprise security standards.

Infrastructure Automation

- Design reusable
Terraform modules and infrastructure patterns
aligned with enterprise networking and IAM frameworks.
- Develop modular infrastructure components to simplify
onboarding of new services and engineering teams
.

Platform Observability & Reliability

- Build observability dashboards and platform metrics focused on:
- Pipeline reliability
- Deployment success rates
- Lead time for changes
- Compliance visibility
- Ensure platform capabilities support
secure and scalable production operations
.

Collaboration & Platform Adoption

- Partner with
security, architecture, DevOps, and application teams
to drive scalable platform adoption.
- Contribute to the evolution of
enterprise DevOps and platform engineering practices
.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong experience building
CI/CD platforms using GitHub Actions
, including reusable workflows and
OIDC-based credential federation
.
- Enterprise experience implementing
GitOps-based delivery models
.
- Deep knowledge of
Kubernetes
, including experience with
Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
and
Red Hat OpenShift
.
- Proficiency with
Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize
for environment-agnostic infrastructure and configuration management.
- Experience integrating
security controls and automated compliance evidence into CI/CD pipelines
.
- Experience working in
regulated or compliance-driven environments
.
- Hands-on experience supporting
multi-team platform adoption in production environments
.

Preferred Experience

- Familiarity with
service mesh technologies such as Istio
and
zero-trust networking architectures
.
- Experience supporting
large-scale containerized enterprise applications
in financial services environments.
- Proficiency in
Python, Go, or TypeScript
for platform automation and internal tooling.
- Experience deploying
Finacle 11.x
or similar large-scale core banking workloads.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
.
- 7+ years of experience
in DevOps or Platform Engineering.
- Proven experience building and operating
production-grade CI/CD systems
.
- Production experience with
Kubernetes
, including
EKS
.
- Production OpenShift experience preferred
.
- Experience developing
Terraform modules
for reusable infrastructure patterns.
