Role summary

Blankfactor is seeking a Senior Technical Product Owner (TPO) to lead product vision, roadmap, and delivery for Shared Services modernization. Responsibilities include owning and refining the product backlog, translating business needs into technical requirements (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria), and performing Scrum Master duties for multi-shore teams. The role involves acting as a Business Analyst, partnering with various stakeholders, and prioritizing features based on value, complexity, and time-to-market. Key initiatives include developing monitoring, automation, and supporting reporting on DevOps, migrations, and security. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience as a PO or TPM, experience with modernization efforts, and familiarity with Azure and Kubernetes.

About the Role:

Blankfactor is seeking a highly capable Technical Product Owner (TPO) to lead and drive product vision, roadmap alignment, and delivery execution for Shared Services modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Own, refine, and evolve the product backlog for the Shared Services modernization program, ensuring alignment with strategic business outcomes, compliance requirements, and technical readiness.
  • Translate cloud platform workflows, business requirements, and customer problems into clear epics, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
  • Perform Scrum Master duties for multi-shore teams, including facilitating ceremonies, removing blockers, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Act as a Business Analyst when needed — eliciting requirements, mapping workflows, and validating solutions with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with business leaders, engineering leads, legal/compliance SMEs, QA, and UX/design to prioritize features and resolve dependencies.
  • Lead team initiatives such as:
  • Developing and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for high-performing systems
  • Automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operations to enhance efficiency
  • Supporting reporting on DevOps best practices, migrations, security assessments, vulnerability remediation, and compliance checks
  • Prioritize features based on customer value, technical complexity, compliance needs, and time-to-market.
  • Champion Agile best practices and continuously optimize workflows across distributed teams.
  • Support integration efforts with client products, third-party systems, and solutions.
  • Ensure deliverables meet high standards of quality, scalability, security, and compliance, particularly during critical migration milestones.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager, ideally in fintech or B2B commercial lending
  • Proven experience delivering modernization or migration efforts (e.g., monolith to microservices, cloud-native transitions)
  • Experience working with engineering teams in technologies such as Azure, Kubernetes, with some exposure to ., Java,

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of commercial lending products, including term loans, syndicated loans, and asset-based lending
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and documentation compliance in lending

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strategic mindset with a bias for execution and iterative delivery
  • Exceptional ability to break down complex workflows into manageable deliverables
  • Strong communicator who can align cross-functional stakeholders and lead multi-team initiatives
  • Comfortable operating in large-scale enterprise environments with distributed teams and layered governance models
  • Adept with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, ADO, GitHub Projects) and experienced in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and demos
