About The Team
The Reno PI Studio is responsible for the development of entertaining land-based slot machines. The studio is part of Bluberi's R&D department, which includes other development teams in the US and Canada. Our game development team is comprised of enthusiastic and experienced professionals across multiple disciplines including mathematics, visual arts, software engineering, game design, audio engineering and quality assurance.
Position Summary
The Game Integration Tester is responsible for validating slot machine games throughout the development lifecycle to ensure high-quality, stable, and release-ready products. This role creates test plans, executes functional and regression testing, documents defects, and partners cross-functionally to improve game quality and testing processes. As a new function within the studio, this role will also help shape standards, workflows, and ownership for game integration testing, ideally building the foundation and departmental standards needed to support future growth.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans for slot game integrations.
  • Perform functional, integration, and regression testing.
  • Validate gameplay, features, configurations, and release quality.
  • Document, track, and retest defects.
  • Communicate testing status, risks, and quality concerns.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Build and improve QA processes, standards, and documentation.
  • Support multiple game projects simultaneously.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of QA testing experience within the slot manufacturing or casino gaming industry.
  • Strong experience with functional, integration, and regression testing of slot games or similar gambling products.
  • Experience creating test plans, test cases, and clear defect documentation using tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar systems.
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as Postman, Charles Proxy, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as GLI, MGA, UKGC, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience evaluating game rules, logic, and expected gameplay behavior for accuracy and completeness.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and help build structure in a new or evolving role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience working with game engines, backend systems, or APIs.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams.

They are organized, self-sufficient, and comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. They also have the ability to evaluate game rules, logic, and expected behavior with accuracy and care.
Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to travel within North America.

*Employment Classification*
To determine eligibility for benefits and overtime status and to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, Bluberi uses the following classifications. Employment classifications are based on the guidelines of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and, as circumstances dictate, Bluberi may review or change employment classifications at any time.
*Exempt:*
Exempt Team members are paid on a salary basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.
*Non-exempt*
:
Non-exempt Team members are paid on an hourly basis and are eligible to receive overtime pay for overtime hours worked.
*Regular, full time:*
Team members who are not in a temporary status and work a minimum of 30 hours weekly and maintain continuous employment status. These Team members are eligible for the full-time benefits package and are subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations of each benefits program.
