Role summary
Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems for intelligence and analytics solutions. This role involves contributing to cutting-edge development programs, designing new solutions, innovating RF signal processing, developing analytics and visualization tools, and integrating software across various hardware. The engineer will also review and test software components and provide input to system design. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, 14+ years of experience, and an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Proficiency in Linux environments and coding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript is essential. Experience with project management and version control tools is also required. This is an onsite, full-time position in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements
Contributing to cutting edge development programs and designing new solution- s
Innovating RF signal processing application- s
Developing analytics, visualization and discovery tool- s
Integrating new and legacy software across a variety of hardware form factor- s
Reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.
Providing specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software component- s

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
At least fourteen (14) years of experience as a software engineer or related fiel

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
- Proficiency working in Linux development environments
- Proficiency coding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript
- Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools
- Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming
- Experience with geospatial processing
- Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays

Summary Pay Range:
Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
$178,000 - $220,000
