Role summary

We are seeking an experienced F-35 Test Engineer to provide critical test engineering support for the F-35 program. You will be responsible for developing and documenting data analysis requirements, creating test plans for flight and lab tests, and implementing complex calculations to meet test objectives. Your role will involve collaborating with test facility personnel, instrumentation, and software teams to ensure test readiness, troubleshoot data issues, and analyze test data for quality assurance before release. This position requires a strong understanding of aircraft systems integration, test planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination, with the ability to manage project schedules and assess risks. A TS/SCI clearance and a Bachelor's degree are mandatory.

F-35 Test Engineer
The Opportunity:
When a user tries new hardware or software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. That’s why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test aircraft hardware and software and work to make sure our team releases the best F-35 possible.
As an F-35 Test Engineer on our team, you will provide test engineering support to develop and document data analysis requirements to satisfy test objectives. You’ll support the development of test plans for F-35 flight test and lab calibration tests, including the design, development, and implementation of complex calculations in support of test objectives. You’ll use your experience to work with test facility personnel to maintain test readiness in support of real-time data display and recording and troubleshoot test data issues before, during, and after test activities.
Working with government clients, you’ll coordinate with instrumentation and software programming personnel for problem fixes and new installation and development. You’ll analyze recorded and calculated test data and assess for quality prior to release to data end-users.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with engineering for integration of aircraft weapons, communications, or sensor systems
  • Experience with aircraft systems tests, including test planning, execution, and conduct
  • Experience engaging and coordinating with varied stakeholder groups, including participation in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to understand and manipulate project schedules
  • Ability to assess risks and propose mitigation options
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with aircraft systems test for multiple platforms
  • Experience with a DoD ACAT II or larger acquisition program office
  • Experience with aircraft, mission systems, avionics, subsystems development, testing, production, and operational use
  • Experience with military flight in a strike and fighter aircraft
  • Test and Evaluation Defense Acquisition University Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
