Role summary

Brighterway, a VC-backed startup in the AI-powered medical record review space for workers’ compensation, seeks a Sales Associate. This role offers direct exposure to founders and customer conversations, focusing on outbound outreach, prospect research, and market discovery. The associate will support sales processes, attend industry events, and contribute to product and sales idea generation. Ideal candidates are curious, proactive, comfortable with ambiguity, and possess strong communication skills. Prior sales or CRM experience is a plus. This is a hybrid role with opportunities for growth into senior sales, partnerships, or strategy positions.

**Brighterway** is a VC-backed startup (YC S24) building AI-powered medical record review tools for the workers’ compensation ecosystem. We process 10M+ pages of medical records per month and are growing rapidly across national claims organizations.

**About the Role**\
We’re looking for a Sales Associate to work directly with our founding team to help drive outbound outreach, research new opportunities, and explore where our product can create the most value. This is a hands-on, high-exposure role for someone who wants to learn how sales, partnerships, and early customer development really work at a fast-growing startup.

You’ll be involved in everything from prospect research and outreach to attending conferences and industry events, helping us build relationships and uncover new use cases. This is not a scripted call-center role, it’s about curiosity, hustle, and learning how deals actually get done.

**What You’ll Do**

* Research potential customers, partners, and new market opportunities
* Support outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, and other channels
* Help qualify inbound interest and route opportunities to the right people
* Assist with preparing outreach materials, follow-ups, and CRM updates
* Attend conferences, trade shows, and in-person events (travel required at times)
* Help identify patterns in customer conversations and surface new product or sales ideas
* Work closely with founders and senior team members on real deals and experiments

**Who You Are**

* Curious, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity
* Strong written and verbal communicator
* Organized and detail-oriented, but not afraid to move fast
* Interested in sales, startups, and customer-facing work
* Comfortable reaching out to people you don’t know
* Willing to travel occasionally for conferences and events

**Nice to Have (Not Required)**

* Prior sales, recruiting, consulting, or research experience
* Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
* Interest in healthcare, legal, or enterprise technology
