Role summary

A startup importing material company is seeking a motivated AI & Software Engineering Intern to assist in developing an AI-powered agent capable of building and integrating websites into an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role involves supporting functionalities like email communication, invoicing, estimates, and accounting. The intern will be instrumental in leading the vision and building the system. Key responsibilities include core and modern web development with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and React; full-stack system design with a focus on data flow; secure authentication and access management (OAuth2, JWT, MFA) within a Python/Node.js stack; database management (SQL/NoSQL) including schema design and optimization; and cloud infrastructure deployment (GCP/AWS/Vercel) using IaC and CI/CD principles. Required qualifications include pursuing or holding a degree in a related field, strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience, practical database knowledge, understanding of web security, and interest in ERP systems and automation. The ability to draft system diagrams and explain architectural trade-offs is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Core & Modern Web Development: Build and maintain responsive, standards-compliant web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+), alongside modern frameworks like React and .
  • System Thinking: A strong grasp of Full-Stack System Design, specifically how to architect seamless data exchange between backends and frontends. You should be able to visualize and document how data flows through a distributed system.
  • Authentication & Security: Design and implement secure Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including OAuth2, JWT, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) across our Python/Node.js stack.
  • Database Management: Architect and optimize relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL), focusing on schema design, query optimization, and data normalization.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and monitor applications on Cloud Platforms (GCP/AWS/Vercel), utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, Next.js, React).
  • Practical knowledge of database design, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of web security fundamentals, including secure session management and data encryption at rest/transit.
  • Interest in ERP systems (SAP, Odoo, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and automation.
  • Ability to draft and explain system diagrams (e.g., UML, flowcharts) and architectural trade-offs.

Preferred Soft Skills:

  • A proven ability to translate complex business requirements from stakeholders into concrete technical specifications.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving within a team environment, focusing on long-term maintainability over quick fixes.
  • Strong presentation skills; you will be expected to demo features, explain architectural decisions, and report on project milestones clearly.
  • High attention to detail in writing clean, maintainable code and thorough technical documentation.
