The job
As a Software Engineering Intern at Buildertrend, you’ll help shape the tools that empower builders to run better businesses. Your work will support the development of software that streamlines construction processes, improves communication, and reduces delays. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers to solve real problems and deliver meaningful outcomes for our customers. By the end of your internship, you’ll have contributed to projects that make construction more efficient and transparent for thousands of professionals.

What you will do

• Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product, and QA to support project delivery
• Apply programming languages and tools to build and improve software features
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team-wide development practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with guidance from Senior Software Engineers
• Stay current on industry trends and apply best practices to your work
• Complete assigned tasks and projects within established timelines

Who you are and what you need:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
• Strong interest in software development and a desire to grow your skills
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
• Understanding of development methodologies like Agile or Waterfall
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
• Available to work full-time during the summer
