Senior Product Designer
Role summary
Built Technologies is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join their Platform Organization. This role involves owning design strategy and execution for ambiguous, high-value projects within a SaaS or complex B2B context. The designer will lead through collaboration, leverage research, data, and AI to shape user experiences, and drive measurable outcomes. Key responsibilities include leading user research, creating user flows and prototypes, tracking design impact, and evolving the design system. The role also requires mentoring other designers, participating in hiring, and advocating for the user. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, is proficient in Figma, and comfortable working with design systems.
### Who you are
- You have 5+ years of experience designing and shipping digital products, ideally in a SaaS or complex B2B context
- You’re comfortable leading projects independently, from framing to delivery and post-launch iteration
- You design for measurable impact, using research and data to track behavior change and refine user experience
- You’re confident in navigating regulated or domain-specific workflows (like construction finance), or eager to master them
- You influence cross-functional teams through strong communication, clear rationale, and a focus on outcomes
- You elevate team culture by mentoring others, giving actionable feedback, and modeling collaboration
- You are fluent in Figma, know how to work with and contribute to a design system, and increasingly rely on AI to ship faster and see around more corners than before

- As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll own design strategy and execution for our most ambiguous and highest value projects
- You lead through collaboration, bring clarity to ambiguity, and use research, data and AI to shape experiences that drive measurable outcomes
- You’re a systems thinker with a sharp eye for craft, and you elevate the quality of the work around you
- Partner with product and engineering to deliver premium, outcome-focused products and services to Built customers
- Lead user research and discovery efforts to uncover key behavior blockers, validate ideas, and shape product direction
- Create user flows, journey maps, workflows, and prototypes—selecting the appropriate fidelity and tools to solve the problem at hand
- Track and measure the impact of your design decisions using behavioral and engagement metrics
- Translate complex workflows into clear, accessible, and compliant user experiences across web and mobile platforms
- Identify breakdowns in our design system and lead efforts to evolve patterns, components and the agents that use them
- Collaborate with engineers throughout the development lifecycle to ensure accuracy and adaptability
- Act as a mentor to other designers by giving feedback, modeling good processes, and contributing to team culture
- Help grow the design team by participating in hiring, onboarding, and cross-functional initiatives
- Advocate for the user at every step—through storytelling, feedback loops, and inclusive design practices
