Role summary
Butterfly Network is seeking a founding Business Development Representative (BDR) for its new Veterinary team. This role is crucial for accelerating growth by identifying, qualifying, and generating leads from veterinary institutions. The BDR will schedule meetings for the Sales team, process orders, maintain the CRM, and collaborate with Veterinary Sales and Marketing. This is an opportunity to build foundational team processes in a fast-paced, high-impact animal health market. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, prior customer-facing experience, strong communication skills, and 1-2 years of experience, preferably in a startup. Proficiency in Salesforce is a plus. The position is hybrid, based in New York City, offering competitive salary, commission, equity, and benefits.

Job Description
As a founding member of the BDR team at Butterfly Network, you will play a critical role in accelerating our growth by identifying and qualifying potential veterinary customers, generating leads from veterinary institutions, and closing business. In this newly formed team, you will also be responsible for assisting to build out team processes and workflows establishing the foundation for future team growth. This is a hybrid position and will be based out of our office in New York City, NY.
Benefits and Perks
Compensation
Our estimated salary for this role based in NYC is $65,000 + commission + equity + benefits. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.
Butterfly requires security adherence responsibilities from all employees. These include: adhering to all company security policies and procedures, utilizing provided company assets securely, and completing all required security awareness training programs. Safeguarding company data and systems from unauthorized access, modification, or destruction, contributing to the overall security posture of the organization. Immediately reporting any suspected or actual security incidents, including phishing attempts, malware infections, or unauthorized access, following the established incident response procedures.
