We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented eClinical Works Data Analyst to join our innovative healthcare analytics team. In this role, you will harness your expertise in data analysis, database management, and clinical systems to optimize the use of eClinical Works electronic health record (EHR) data. Responsibilities
- Analyze complex clinical data sets from eClinical Works EHR systems to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize key performance indicators and clinical metrics.
- Collaborate with project teams utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver data-driven solutions within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Design and optimize databases, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and linked data sources, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Build ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using Talend, Python, Bash (Unix shell), or VBA to automate data integration processes.
- Conduct business analysis by gathering requirements from clinical staff and translating them into technical specifications for database design and reporting.
- Support project management activities by tracking progress, documenting workflows with Visio, and ensuring timely delivery of analytics initiatives.
- Utilize R for statistical analysis and advanced modeling to support clinical research projects or quality improvement efforts.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Data Analyst within a healthcare environment or with clinical systems such as eClinical Works.
- Strong proficiency in SQL programming for querying databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms including Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Familiarity with SDLC processes, Agile project management practices, and business analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of ETL tools such as Talend or scripting languages like Python and Bash for data automation tasks.
- Understanding of database design principles, linked data concepts, and healthcare data standards.
- Skills in analysis techniques using R or other statistical software to interpret complex datasets effectively.
- Experience with VBA macros or Power BI for creating interactive reports and dashboards tailored to clinical needs.
