Senior Data Software Engineer
Role summary
Camber is seeking a Senior Data Software Engineer to build and scale core data ingestion tools and foundational infrastructure for their products. This role involves creating critical integrations with EHR systems, ensuring system accuracy, reliability, and scale for thousands of patients and millions of sessions. The engineer will support internal teams by providing flexible integrations, reliable data, and transparency to enhance customer service. The ideal candidate is passionate about making healthcare more accessible, possesses customer empathy, and has experience with Python, AWS, SQL, ELT processes, Spark, Flink, Beam, Kafka, and data lake/warehouse technologies, with at least 3 years building data platforms and 5 years on production systems.
- As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data team you’ll work on the core data ingestion tools that underpins all of Camber’s products
- You will build the foundational infrastructure that enables Camber to function with accuracy, reliability, and scale. Data is the electricity that powers everything we do
- Build critical integrations with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems in ABA and other verticals
- Scale our system to ingest thousands of patients and millions of sessions
- Support our internal teams such as sales, customer support, and product teams to provide more flexible integrations, reliable data, and greater transparency to better serve our customers

- Office Culture: For folks in NYC, we have a hybrid office culture, where folks come into the office 3-5 times a week - we generally ask that if you’re in the city, that you come in on Mon, Tues, and Thurs. We don’t monitor basge swipes though. If you’re working remotely, traveling, visiting homes, etc. - no problem! Just let your team know. And Fridays, almost everyone works from home

- Customer Empathy: Our engineers need to understand our customers’ pain points to build products that meet their needs
- Familiarity with Python, AWS or other cloud platforms, and SQL
- Hands-on experience with ELT processes, Spark, Flink, Beam, Kafka, and data lake and warehouse technologies
- 3+ years building data platforms
- Experience: 5+ years of experience working on production systems
