Role summary

Capital BPM seeks a senior, full-time remote DevOps professional to initially focus on operational ownership and L2/L4 support, managing environments, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments. The role involves supporting production systems, establishing ticketing processes, and documenting DevOps standards across cloud and on-prem infrastructure. Over time, the position will evolve to contribute to DevOps architecture, drive infrastructure automation (IaC), define scalable practices, and grow into a leadership role, supporting the build-out of a global 24x7 DevOps organization. Candidates should have strong hands-on DevOps experience, proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and Docker, with Kubernetes experience being preferred.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a senior DevOps professional who will begin with strong operational ownership and grow into DevOps architecture and leadership.

You’ll play a key role in stabilizing and improving our DevOps operations today—while helping design the systems and structure we’ll rely on tomorrow.

What You’ll Do (Initial Focus)

  • Lead L2 / L4 DevOps support and operational stability
  • Manage:
  • Environments (dev, test, prod)
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Deployment processes
  • Support production systems and resolve incidents
  • Establish a dedicated DevOps ticketing process
  • Document:
  • DevOps lifecycle and processes
  • Environment and pipeline standards
  • Work across cloud and on-prem infrastructure

How This Role Evolves

  • Contribute to DevOps architecture and system design
  • Drive infrastructure automation (IaC)
  • Help define scalable DevOps practices across teams
  • Grow into a DevOps Architect / Leadership role
  • Support the build-out of a global, 24x7 DevOps organization

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong hands-on DevOps experience (CI/CD, deployments, production systems)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
  • Background in software development and collaboration with engineering teams
  • Ability to design and improve scalable, reliable systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and improving existing environments
  • Familiarity with:
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Docker (required), Kubernetes (preferred)

Team & Location

  • Preferred: Europe-based candidate
  • Must work U.S. Eastern Time hours (starting ~8 AM ET)
  • Long-term DevOps organization:
  • ~70% India
  • ~30% Eastern Europe
  • Europe-led
  • Evolving toward a 24x7 operational model
