Captivation is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to develop, sustain, and troubleshoot software applications supporting national security missions. The role involves implementation, testing, and integration with various software products. Candidates must possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Polygraph and meet minimum qualifications including a Master's degree and 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, or 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer. Required technical skills include Linux CLI, Bash scripting, Python 3.x, RabbitMQ, NoSQL databases (MongoDB), Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, distributed logging/monitoring (ElasticStack, Prometheus/Grafana), and Git.

# Description
Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who shall be responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting the project's software suite of applications and possibly future capabilities as mission needs arise. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.
# Requirements
### Security Clearance:
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
### Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
### Required Skills:
- Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
- Experience developing scripts using Bash
- Recent Python (3.x) software development experience
- Experience with Messaging Frameworks including RabbitMQ
- Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containers
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
- Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
- Experience with distributed logging and monitoring concepts and tools including ElasticStack and Prometheus/Grafana
- Experience with Git Source Control System
### Desired Skills:
- Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL
- Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools such as Ansible
- Experience with Rust programming concepts, or a willingness and aptitude to learn Rust
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence

# Benefits
- Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
