WHO are we looking for?
CAPTRUST is seeking a highly skilled and self-driven
Senior Specialist Software Engineer
to serve as a technical expert in designing and building scalable, cloud-native applications. This role is ideal for an experienced developer who thrives on solving complex problems, driving technical excellence, and delivering high-impact solutions using Microsoft Azure, C#, and TypeScript.
Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust, scalable APIs and backend services using C# and TypeScript
  • Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, App Services, Logic Apps)
  • Optimize SQL queries and manage relational database performance and integrity
  • Lead technical execution of projects, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and business requirements
  • Independently drive feature development from concept to deployment, including testing and documentation
  • Contribute to internal technical discussions, offering insights and recommendations based on deep expertise
  • Serve as a go-to resource for complex debugging, performance tuning, and system reliability improvements
  • Share knowledge through documentation, demos, and informal mentoring of peers
  • Actively coach and mentor team members, fostering technical growth and encouraging best practices across the team
  • Provide guidance and support during code reviews, pairing sessions, and architectural planning to help elevate team capabilities

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend and cloud-native applications
  • Advanced proficiency in C#, TypeScript, and Microsoft Azure services
  • Deep understanding of SQL and relational database design and optimization
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot)

Desired Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and Dynamics 365
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-204, PL-400, AZ-305) are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction through expertise and execution
  • Proven ability to lead technical efforts as an individual contributor
