About This Role
The Highly skilled Design Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions for our design engineering processes. As well this role would include process automation and design configuration. This role will require strong technical skills in design engineering, automation, well-versed in CREO and excellent communication and project management abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- A solid CREO user - a CREO architect. Well-versed in CREO and Windchill.
- Some programming experience would helpful but not required
- Develop and implement automation solutions for design engineering processes
- Advance process automation using Sigmaxim SmartAssembly software
- Collaborate with design engineering teams to identify areas for automation improvement
- An enthusiasm for automation and sincere mindset with championing engineering productivity
- Design, develop and test automation software.
- Ensure automation solutions meet design requirements and are efficient and reliable
- Manage automation projects from conception to completion
- Train team members on the use of automation systems
- Stay current and up-to-date on CREO and SmartAssembly software
- Work close with end users to understand design automation opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of working with CREO (3D modeling) software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced with Windchill (PDM or PLM) is a plus
- General understanding of Engineering Change Management - know how engineering changes are processed and controlled within a PDM/PLM tool.
- Knowledge with macro creation in CREO, MS Excel or another software to automate tasks is helpful
- Partner with design engineers and designers to automate and solution day to day repetitive activities.
- Experience with Power BI and power apps
- Builds trust using effective communication and customer service skills.
- Communicate effectively at all levels and across all audiences, synthesizing complex issues and analysis to support decision making
- Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills
