About the role

Are you a motivated and talented student looking to gain real-world experience in software engineering while completing your bachelor's or master's degree? If so, Carrier has a great opportunity for you. We seek a Software Engineering Co-op to join our team and contribute to exciting projects in Sensitech's Application Development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and deploy software solutions.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Write, debug, and maintain high-quality code following best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of software systems.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Document software designs, processes, and procedures.
• Adhere to project schedules and deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree Bachelor in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3.0 or higher GPA
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant coursework or previous internships are preferred
• Strong programming skills in common languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript, SQL
• Experience with relational databases is a plus
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
