AWS DevOps Engineer

Job Title: AWS DevOps Engineer (Hybrid - Montreal)

Location: Montreal (Hybrid)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, and automation, along with a solid programming background in Python.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration.

Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for efficient deployment processes.

Monitor system performance and ensure high availability using AWS CloudWatch.

Implement logging and auditing using AWS CloudTrail.

Manage and optimize AWS services including S3 for storage solutions.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline release cycles.

Automate repetitive tasks using Python scripting.

Ensure security best practices and compliance across cloud environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in AWS environments.

Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).

Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline implementation.

Proficiency in AWS services such as S3, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.

Solid programming experience in Python.

Understanding of cloud security, monitoring, and logging practices.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).

AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).

Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
