Role summary
The HR Data team is seeking a Specialist Software Engineer with a focus on Big Data and HQL development. This role involves working on data platforms and analytics solutions for HR, Sourcing, and Real Estate business functions. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in data analysis or data engineering, with advanced knowledge of Hive Query Language (HQL), data modeling, ETL concepts, and Big Data ecosystems. Experience with tools like HUE and Hive is expected. While not strictly required, exposure to HR data and French language proficiency are preferred. A Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience is necessary.

About the Team / Project
This role is within the HR Data team working on data platforms and analytics solutions supporting business functions such as HR, Sourcing, and Real Estate.
The Big Data services team contributes to the transformation of the organization’s data ecosystem by building an agile, data-centric IT architecture to support business analytics and operational data needs.
Profile Required
Essential Qualifications and Experience
3–6 years of professional experience in a software development environment, primarily in an IT Data Analyst or Data Engineering role
Experience creating or modifying complex extraction queries on Big Data platforms
Exposure to HR data or HR domain is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. Non-technical degrees with Business Analyst exposure and IT certifications are also considered
French language: intermediate to fluent preferred (especially oral/conversational)
Knowledge of Agile methodology
Key Technical Skills
Advanced knowledge of Hive Query Language (HQL) – Required
Good knowledge of process workflows, data modelling, and ETL concepts – Required
Experience working with Big Data ecosystems is an advantage
Knowledge of Power BI – Nice to have
Solid understanding of software engineering practices
