Product Security Engineer
Role summary
Chainguard is seeking a Product Security Engineer to enhance their engineering organization's security posture. This role involves running security tooling, translating complex findings into actionable tasks, and promoting secure development practices. The engineer will defend customer security, respond to incidents, and collaborate with development teams to embed security throughout the SDLC. Responsibilities include operating DevSecOps tooling, leveraging AI capabilities, and coordinating with external researchers on security reports. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in a technical field, a strong interest in product/application security, experience with software development (Go or Python preferred), and knowledge of SDLC principles and Open Source Software communities. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
