Changeis, Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Cloud Engineer to support enterprise IT shared services operations within a cabinet-level federal agency environment. This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for enterprise-scale architecture, performance optimization, and strategic cloud direction.
### Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical, managerial, and administrative direction for complex cloud systems
- Lead problem definition, requirements development, and solution implementation
- Perform systems engineering lifecycle activities, including trade studies and analysis
- Troubleshoot enterprise-scale performance issues and analyze system bottlenecks
- Develop and implement capacity planning strategies
- Lead architecture reviews for major cloud initiatives and migrations
- Serve as the top technical escalation point for complex cloud challenges
- Interface with government leadership on cloud strategy and risk
### Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years managing cloud environments
- Extensive experience in cloud provider selection, implementation, and migration
- At least one Professional or Specialty-level cloud certification
- Deep expertise in performance tuning, network analysis, and capacity planning
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical programs
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal public trust clearance
### Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Systems Engineering (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred)
- Multiple advanced cloud certifications
- Experience as a chief architect or technical lead on federal programs
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture and COE standards
- Experience with zero trust architecture and FedRAMP environments
- PMP, CISSP, or TOGAF certification
