Role Overview
Building with AI, demonstrating experiments, and representing the team in engineering communities. The role focuses on shipping "messy" versions early, sharing technical learnings immediately, and collaborating closely with AI engineering teams to shape evolving features.
Key Responsibilities
- Content & Community (50%): Write about actual builds (what worked, broke, and surprised); engage in AI-native engineering communities; share learning early before consensus exists; collaborate with Marketing to amplify real work.
- Events & Representation (25%): Attend meetups and conferences with evolving live demos; engage with SF and global engineering communities; demo, learn, and exchange ideas; maintain CircleCI presence in defining AI system conversations.
- Technical Work (25%): Use CircleCI's AI features before release; build alongside the AI team to ground content in real systems; test new capabilities by breaking them early; stay close to the edge of what's possible.
Requirements
- Earlier in career but deeply immersed in AI-native building.
- Experience shipping experiments with agents, orchestration, or LLM-driven systems (even if scrappy).
- Strong opinions on AI system structure and a willingness to share them.
- Write and demo as a thinking process, not just as an assigned task.
- Work independently, moving fast, and representing the company with good judgment in public spaces.
Preferred Qualifications (Stand Out)
- A GitHub full of shareable or demoable AI experiments.
- Experience posting technical content while still building projects.
- Established presence in AI or builder communities where work or ideas are recognized.
Compensation
- Base Pay Range: $153,000 - $191,000 USD
