About the Role

This role supports the development of advanced AI-driven systems within a fast-paced engineering environment. This is a 6-month engagement with the possibility of extension. The Software Engineer will design and build AI-powered solutions including intelligent agents, conversational systems, and scalable machine learning applications that support complex decision-making and automation.

What you will be doing:

• Design and develop AI agents and autonomous systems capable of executing complex tasks and decision-making processes.
• Build conversational AI solutions including chatbots and voice-enabled customer service systems.
• Develop AI-powered integrations across platforms and applications.
• Design and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to improve AI application performance.
• Implement and refine machine learning models using PyTorch.
• Evaluate and deploy appropriate large language models based on accuracy, latency, cost, and user experience considerations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical AI solutions.
• Architect and maintain production-grade AI solutions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.

About You

You are a technically strong engineer with experience building AI-driven systems and integrating machine learning capabilities into real-world applications. You enjoy solving complex problems, working with emerging AI technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience using Python for AI or machine learning development.
• Experience working with PyTorch or willingness to learn the framework.
• Understanding of AI agents and their application to real-world challenges.
• Hands-on experience or strong interest in developing chatbots or voice-based conversational systems.
• Knowledge of RAG system components including vector databases, embeddings, retrieval strategies, and prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with major LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Meta and their trade-offs in performance, cost, latency, and capabilities.
• Understanding of transformer neural network architecture and attention mechanisms.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications or strong interest in application development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Kotlin programming.
• Full-stack development experience across both backend and frontend technologies.
• Cloud software development experience, particularly with microservices architecture and integrations.
• Experience with REST APIs, gRPC, or Kafka for service communication and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for AI deployment.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or similar tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
