Role summary
The Associate Product Manager- Deal Desk Analyst will support the server deal desk by building and validating server configurations, preparing quotes, and increasing overall quote throughput. This role is designed for a developing technical professional who will grow into a full Product Manager role over time. Core responsibilities include building server configurations, validating hardware compatibility, preparing quotes, supporting same-day turnaround goals, aligning configurations with inventory, and maintaining standardized configurations. Key performance indicators focus on quote preparation turnaround time, accuracy, and volume.
Overview:
Support the server deal desk by building and validating server configurations, preparing quotes, and increasing overall quote throughput. This role is designed for a developing technical professional who will grow into a full Product Manager role over time.
Core Responsibilities:
- Build server configurations to meet technical requirements
- Validate hardware compatibility (CPU, RAM, storage, firmware, software, hypervisor)
- Prepare quotes for review and final pricing
- Support same-day quote turnaround goals
- Align configurations with available inventory, find sourcing plans for backordered product
- Assist in maintaining standardized configurations and templates
- Provide guidance on breakdown requirements
KPIs:
- Quote preparation turnaround time
- Accuracy of configurations (low error rate)
- Volume of quotes supported
- Improvement in deal desk throughput
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in IT hardware (integration, support, or networking)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Coachable with a willingness to take ownership over time
Compensation:
- Base salary with performance-based bonus tied company performance metrics.
