In this role, you will serve as a technical authority, shaping cybersecurity architecture, influencing client strategy, and ensuring secure, resilient operations across complex OT systems.
You will act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal leadership, bridging cybersecurity, engineering, and operations. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in industrial control systems and cybersecurity, combined with the ability to lead initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive high-impact outcomes in environments where uptime and reliability are non-negotiable.
What You Will Be Doing
● Lead the design and implementation of OT cybersecurity architectures, including segmentation strategies, zero trust principles, and secure remote access across industrial and datacenter environments
● Serve as the technical authority for OT cybersecurity across projects, providing guidance on best practices, standards, and solution design
● Develop and standardize cybersecurity offerings, methodologies, and reusable architectures aligned with frameworks such as NIST and ISA/IEC 62443
● Conduct advanced risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments across ICS, SCADA, BMS, and EPMS systems
● Lead cybersecurity components of large-scale projects, including design reviews, commissioning, and validation of controls
● Collaborate directly with clients, executives, and stakeholders to define cybersecurity strategies and translate risk into business and operational impact
● Support and influence compliance initiatives, including alignment with NERC CIP and other regulatory requirements
● Guide the integration of cybersecurity into industrial automation platforms such as Ignition, AVEVA (Wonderware), and related systems
● Oversee incident response efforts within OT environments, including root cause analysis and long-term remediation strategies
● Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing technical leadership and elevating team capabilities
● Support business development efforts, including solutioning, proposal development, and technical presentations to clients
● Drive continuous improvement of cybersecurity practices, tools, and service offerings
What You Need for This Position
● BS in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
● 8+ years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity, industrial automation, or related field
● Proven experience designing and leading OT cybersecurity solutions in complex environments
● Deep understanding of industrial control systems, SCADA platforms, and associated risks
● Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISA/IEC 62443
● Expertise in network architecture, segmentation, and secure system design for OT environments
● Experience with industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA/DA, DNP3, and TCP/IP
● Experience working in Critical Infrastructure and/or Datacenter environments
● Strong ability to lead technical discussions with both engineering teams and executive stakeholders
● Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
● Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, high-availability environments
● Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed (up to 50%, primarily Gulf Coast region)
Nice to Have
● Certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, or advanced ICS cybersecurity certifications
● Experience with compliance standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 or SOC 2
● Experience with hyperscale or colocation datacenter environments
● Background in power, water, oil & gas, or other critical infrastructure sectors
● Experience integrating OT cybersecurity with enterprise IT and cloud environments
