Role summary
Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus is seeking a Program Manager II for the Neonatology Department. This role involves overseeing program implementation, developing systems, and acting as a liaison between the department and external communities. Responsibilities include grant proposal writing, managing research publications, and organizing the annual SHINE neonatology symposium. The position requires collaboration with physicians, managing event logistics, and ensuring adherence to accreditation and compliance standards. The Program Manager will also coach and mentor team members and manage departmental budgets and operational systems. This is an onsite, full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule.

As Program Manager II in the Neonatology Department, you will oversee the implementation and ongoing management of designated programs, while planning, developing, and maintaining effective systems and procedures to support program success. In this role, you will serve as a liaison between the department and external communities, provide coaching and mentorship to team members, and participate in the budget planning process. A caregiver in this position works Monday – Friday on site at Cleveland Clinic M Building at Main Campus from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Facilitates the writing and preparation of research and grant proposals for submission to funding agencies, maximizing the potential for funding.
- Collaborates with neonatologists and other physician groups to identify needs and research funding sources.
- Reviews agency proposal requirements, organizes assignments, and ensures adherence to deadlines.
- Facilitates the development of print and online publications or public presentations of research results, innovations and generalized medical knowledge.
- Facilitate all aspects of the publication of the Journal of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine from call for submission to printing.
- Creates and maintains databases for tracking written material and educational programs.
- Writes and performs editorial work to ensure that all scientific/medical publications and proposals are of the highest quality, contributing to the institute's reputation for academic excellence.
Work for the annual international neonatology symposium, SHINE:
- Research grant and exhibitor opportunities resulting in revenue for the symposium allowing the registration fees to be kept affordable.
- Organize and manage all aspects of the annual SHINE symposium, including leading the committee of clinicians, presentation submissions and acceptances as well as all presenter details/logistics, venue selection, scheduling, and logistics.
- Coordinate with esteemed neonatologists, researchers, and healthcare professionals to ensure their participation and manage their travel arrangements.
- Develop and curate sessions that delve into the latest advancements, research breakthroughs, and pioneering practices in neonatal medicine.
- Ensure the symposium meets accreditation standards and manages the process for participants to earn continuing medical education (CME) credits.
- Promote the symposium through various channels to attract attendees and exhibitors and manage registration processes.
- Oversee the smooth execution of the event, including attendee health and safety protocols.
- Conduct evaluations to gather feedback and measure the success of the symposium and implement improvements for future events.
- Develop, implement, manage, and maintain operational systems and activities.
- Serve as a liaison with all levels of the organization and outside community.
- Manage multiple priorities and projects with competing deadlines.
- Allocate time to meet completion requirements.
- Serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
- Review and monitor adherence to Human Resources policies and corporate compliance procedures.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field and three years of experience in project management, data analysis and systems OR Associate’s degree and five years experience, OR Master’s degree and two years experience
- Demonstrated team, leadership, organizational and problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements:

Pay Range
Minimum Annual Salary: $57,510.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $87,697.50
