Position Summary
Responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and improving the BioLINCC web portal and associated applications that allow researchers to search datasets, request biological specimens, and access repository information.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain BioLINCC website and researcher portal.
- Develop web applications supporting dataset searches and specimen requests.
- Maintain system availability, performance, and usability.
- Implement new features and enhancements based on user feedback.
- Ensure accessibility standards (Section 508 compliance).
- Integrate backend databases with front-end applications.
- Troubleshoot web issues and perform routine system maintenance.
- Maintain documentation for system architecture and code.
Technical Skills
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular
- Backend development (Python, Java, .NET, or Node.js)
- Database systems (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Web security and authentication systems
- API development and integration
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
