CODEplus is currently seeking a Software Engineer Internship to support its operations in Huntsville, AL or Fairfax, VA.
Education Requirements: Currently pursuing a Computer Science Bachelor’s program, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Web Programming Concentration, with a minimum GPA of 3.6.
Internship Overview
Position 1 Goal: AI-enabled proposal data search and reassembly. Developing a new draft proposal using data from our past internal performance library.

CODEplus is seeking a Software Engineer/ Computer Science Intern for paid internship. This internship offers hands-on experience building modern, scalable software platforms enhanced with AI capabilities using DevSecOps principles and designed for reuse across multiple genres and domains.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with talented engineers on real-world projects
- Work in Agile teams using SAFe®
- Build modular, reusable software components
- Develop AI-enabled features and intelligent automation
- Write, test, and debug secure, high-quality code
- Learn DevSecOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud concepts
AI & Emerging Technology Exposure
- AI and machine learning fundamentals
- Data-driven application design
- AI-assisted development, testing, and analysis
- Ethical and secure AI usage in government and enterprise systems
What We’re Looking For
- Curriculum experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar
- Curious about AI, cloud technologies, and DevSecOps
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and in teams.
